Description
Nucleating and Clarifying masterbatches are used in semi-crystalline polymers with a linear structure such as Polypropylene (PP). These are based on the latest generation of additives which help in creating a large number of nuclei sites where crystallization is initiated during early cooling stages. The spherulites are small in size which allows visible light to pass around them and hence enhances clarity. The rapid crystallization during melt cooling reduces the cycle times and enhances productivity and also increases stiffness in end products.
They are used mailnly in Injection moulded PP applications such as household containers, caps and closures, appliances, white goods and automotive mouldings.
